Released on December 3rd 2013 on the Barcelona based Reggaeland label, the 12th studio album by veteran reggae singer Mikey General has immediately created a buzz on the net.
Recorded partly in Tuff Gong and partly in Reggaeland studios, the 15-track set spans from roots reggae beats to more modern arrangements and it is a celebration of Rastafari.
Over the course of the past season, “Hailelujah Song” has collected several remarkable reviews (read our review here) and scored a number of successes on international charts – 6 months strong on the Reggae-Vibes top 50, to name one – as well as receiving a huge response from his fan-base, acing the public taste test.
Six months from its release, “Hailelujah Song” is on heavy rotation on many reggae radio shows in Europe and abroad and has appeared as best selling item on many internet music stores, including JunoDownload and Itunes. Songs from the album have been heard at the regular Dub Club night in Kingston, and several tunes are featured as steady favourites in many DJ sets in Spain, Italy and the UK.
This summer the artist will be in Europe promoting his latest work at the main reggae festivals and venues, with confirmed shows in Rototom Sunsplash (Spain), Garance Festival (France) and many more.
Make sure to save the date and “hold a vibe” with Mikey General this Saturday!!
