Tony ‘CD’ Kelly presents the “Bookshelf Riddim”, released in 1998
The “Bookshelf Riddim” is among my Top 10 classic late 90’s Dancehall Riddim. It was produced by the talented Tony ‘CD’ Kelly in 1998 and features top notch deejays such as Beenie Man, Mr Vegas, Frisco Kid, Lady Saw and international superstar Sean Paul amongst many more.
The built is quite simple but so catchy, it won’t leave you indifferent. Its thumping bass line makes you want to bounce like crazy. The lead flute sounding-like synth is one of a kind. It’s unforgettable. As soon as you hear the first measure of that riddim, you can feel it’s a killer. Even though, it might have been played too many times before, you know a bunch of hit songs are about to follow and be pulled up when the selector starts playing itin the club.
In my opinion, the “Bookshelf Riddim” is a classic old school Dancehall Riddim of the 90’s. If you do not have it, get it now. Share and comment if you like it.
