Koloko Riddim #Throwback

Koloko Riddim #Throwback

This weekend, chill out to the “Koloko Riddim”

The “Koloko Riddim” is another classic Dancehall riddim of the golden era of the latest 80’s, originally produced by Hugh “Redman” James for Redman International. The riddim has been remade a couple times by producers like John John, King Jammy and Philipp ‘Fatis’ Burrell, and it has been voiced by artists such as Sugar Minott, Junior Reid, Sizzla, Capleton, Beenie Man, Chuck Fender and many more. It’s particularly easy to recognize this riddim thanks to the characteristic stuttering synth sound effects that you hear in the first seconds of the intro. The following #Throwback package of the “Koloko Riddim”, that we are sharing with you today, features tracks from various versions of the “Koloko”, including the beautiful “Love Is Always There” by Sizzla, gal tune “Tight Clothes” by Jonny P, anti-drug anthem “Kolo-ko” by Clement Irie and many more.Track list:
