When Vinnie Vii sits down to produce a lovers rock riddim, you better be ready for the bass line.
I couldn’t agree more. The “Pond Riddim” is a warm Modern One Drop riddim with a touch of Lovers Rock’s vibe paced by a simple yet resonant and heavy bass line. The “wah wah” effect on the electric strummed guitar alongside bursts of percussions give the riddim a certain depth. The soothing melody of the flute and the slightly distorted picked guitar gives the riddim a mellow tone.
