Ain’t No Sunshine Riddim (1973) #Reggae #ThrowBackThursday

“Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone” but there’s still Reggae music

While going through my music collection, I came across the “Ain’t No Sunshine Riddim”, which was apparently released in 1973. I have no idea who produced that riddim but I can tell, without a doubt, that it is a Reggae remake of 1971 R&B single “Ain’t No Sunshine” made famous by Bill Withers. It is a song that I really love and I am sure that I am not the only one does since it has been covered a couple of times during the past decades. The Reggae compilation “Ain’t No Sunshine Riddim” showcases quite a great line-up with big names of the Reggae scenes such as Augustus Pablo, Horace Andy and Ken Boothe to name a few, who covered Bill Withers hit song in a Reggae style. I hope you will enjoy this throwback. Do not hesitate to share and comment if you like it.Track list:
