This #ThrowbackThursday, I invite you to check out the “Superstar Riddim” produced by Andrew Tyrell for Rookie Production. It’s a Dancehall compilation, which features Frisco Kid, Buju Banton, Elephant Man, Spragga Benz and many more. The minimalistic piano lead of the riddim might sound familiar to some of you. If you have ever listened to Sean Paul‘s sophomore album “Dutty Rock” entirely, you will notice that the track “Jukin Punny” was voiced on the “Superstar Riddim”. The beat itself is nothing impressive.
