UIM Records presents “Like A Drum” by Alaine & Dre Island
Female Reggae artist Alaine starts the year with the release of her single “Like A Drum”, featuring Dre Island. The track, produced by UIM Records, is taken from her 2015 studio album “10 of Hearts”.
The riddim is delicate and Dre Island‘s grainy vocals blends in quite nice and add some texture to the overall track which is quite soft. There’s nothing to say about Alaine‘s vocals, she holds the tune perfectly even when hitting the high notes without a single sign of cracking in her voice.
Even though the riddim is ethereal and rather slow, the way it mimics a heartbeat makes it pretty catchy.
