Damas – Red Hot (Macles Music Factory)

DAMAS - RED HOT cover art

Marc “Macles” Leys presents “Red Hot” by Damas

In the Modern Roots Reggae single “Red Hot”, produced by Macles, Damas warns us of the upcoming armageddon. He advocates self-awareness in order to get through these tormented times. He sings:

“Run if you can, don’t get caught in the sinking sand. What’s the plan? Lasting on, through this armagideon? Then, rastaman just know yourself and get your deliverance. So I say: Youths know yourself. Retrieve your sense and hold a meds. Don’t be no target pon a shelf.”

According to the message Damas delivers in this song, finding peace within yourself through meditation is the first step to defeat babylon. He sort of teaches how to resist in order to fight this mental war led by babylon’s propaganda and media.

“Mediate, elevate, levitate so babylon can’t run in.”

Musically-speaking, the song is a mix between roots and modern electronic music with a lot of synths overlapping traditional instruments. The song is pretty dynamic and catchy. Check it out and judge by yourself. Share if you like it or leave a comment below.
