Gnra presents “Be Mine (Gyal)”
“Be Mine (Gyal)” is a Dancehall track performed by the US-based artist of Jamaican descent Gnra.
Gnra encourages you to “be bold enough to listen” to his music as he believes “it will change your life”. I wouldn’t go that far as describing his music as life-changing. Though, I must admit I was agreeably surprised to find out that it was actually really good.
First of all, the riddim he voiced sounds really good. It was built off the same chord progression similar as Rihanna‘s song “Work”. Besides, it has a noticeable caribbean feel despite integrating EDM elements such as soft synth pads. Secondly, the grain of his voice combined with his smooth flow make his vocals mesmerizing. Then, the lyrics as well as the riddim are simple. All put together, it makes a perfect club banger.
