Terracotta Blue remixes Rihanna’s 2009 hit song “Rude Boy”
Terracotta Blue “likes Rihanna and dub”. So he remixed one of Rihanna‘s many hit song “Rude Boy”. I like Rihanna and I like dub…so here’s a remix. “Rude Boy” is a R’n’B/Pop song that was slightly flavored by a tint of Dancehall music. Even though it was subtle, the caribbean feel was still perceivable. Many Reggae Dancehall remixes of this song were produced back then.
7 years later, Washington DC-based Hip Hop producer Terracotta Blue thought he would give it a try too. So he came up with a Dub-flavored Hip Hop remix of this worldwide hit. It is kind of an unexpected blend. I must say I was expecting something a little more laid-back and chill for Dub music.
