Tribute to John Holt #RIP #FlashbackFriday #TGIF

In loving memory of John Holt, some rocksteady for this #FlashbackFriday #TGIF

Last week, The Paragons‘ former lead singer John Holt passed away. For once being the biggest selling Reggae artist, John Holt was a highly respected figure of the Reggae industry. His talent was not only recognized by his peers but he also influenced pop music. Indeed, The Paragons’ Rocksteady hit song “The Tide Is High” was covered a couple of times during the past decades by artists such as Kardinal Offishal in collaboration with Keri Hilson. John Holt will be greatly missed luckily his music will still live on.  No one could deny the purity of his soothing voice. Therefore this #FlashbackFriday we invite you to listen to some of his music including: “Tide Is High” by The Paragons“Police In Helicopter” by John Holt, which is among one of my favorite ganja songs, and “Strange Things” produced by Coxsone.  So, take a listen and do not hesitate to share if you like this post.
