Iba Mahr unleashes brand-new music video for his single “Diamond Sox”

Iba Mahr unleashes a brand-new music video for his single “Diamond Sox”, produced by Notis —formerly Notice Production— inna style and fashion. This music video is very entertaining, it shows a young rasta man, Tuff  aka the Real Microphone General, wearing clarks, diamond socks, an arrow shirt and a mesh marina asking for directions to people who make fun of him because of his old-fashioned style. On his way to the dance in Chessfield he meets a young lady, Empress, who will help him to find his way and join him to the Dance. Meanwhile, you can see various footages of Iba Mahr aka the Black Youth of Harar, deejaying in alongside a sound system and from time to time performing his song accompanied by Unga Barunga, playing the drums, and Welsh, playing the bass. Legendary Reggae artist Max Romeo appears in the video. This original short film, which was directed by Jay Will, truly conveys the warm atmosphere and the energy driven by the entertainers in a Reggae dance. It somehow reminds me of Wayne Marshall‘s music video of “I Know” that also depicts an authentic old school side of Reggae music.

You can watch the extended version of the music video below. Share and comment if you like it.
