Mikel Ameen unveils music video of “Ask Nobody”
Last spring, Mikel Ameen unveiled a brand-new music video, for his self-produced Dancehall / Rap crossover single “Ask Nobody”. The video depicts a young man who decides to throw a party with two of his colleagues in a hotel room instead of working. We learn at the very end of the video that the occupant of this room is the British actor John Boyega, best known for his role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
If you really pay attention to the song, which is pretty catchy and club-oriented, you will notice it is actually kind of deeper than the video. It is, indeed about enjoying yourself and having a good time. But foremost, it is about positivity and living the life you love above all.
“This morning I felt like quitting my job. […] Boom bye bye to a negative mind. Positivity we a deal with all the time.”
