A little history about the series…
Toots Hibbert’s “54-46 (Was My Number)” Instrumental I had to build for a remix ofMr. Vegas’ “Weed day” 10 years ago, & that everybody in the sound cloud reggae/mashup community was asking for. Why? Because, the original instrumental of that more than classic rocksteady/early reggae tune is nowhere (or at least very difficult) to find on any musical support. In order to build a proper version, I had to sample small pieces of Toots’ original vocal track & reassembled them (in short, cut & paste).Instead of just dropping the instrumental, we thought it be a great idea to let some of artists I met (virtually or not) along the years record an original tune first & so did I. Others contacted me themselves after hearing about the project on the internet… so many talents I decided to split the riddim collection in 2 volumes. So, that was the genesis of our 1st riddim series! More will follow in the coming months!!!— Lord Lyta / Flash It Up Music

Good question. The link was probably broken and taken down by the person who posted it. I’ll try to get it on there asap.
