The hard hitting dance provoking riddim which was produced by Esco Da Shocker on the Star Struck Record Label features some of Jamaica’s most formidable lyricists coupled with a handful of new and familiar artists who combined makes the projects truly special.
Still celebrating the success of his platinum selling single “Bumaye” dancehall deejay Busy Signal headlines the Star studded line up with his cleverly composed track “Wet Spliff.” The song which throw jabs at several contradicting practices in local culture such as the sharing of a smoke between two men and the watching of women resonates loudly and finds Signal in top form as he releases punchline after punchline.
The Dancehall Doctor Beenie Man also delivers musical magic with his “One More Wine” song geared towards getting his female fan base in a wining temper. Formerly Bling Dawg now Bawse Dawg the dancehall deejay who is known for his word play and vocal aggression holds nothing back on his record “AP” which proudly promotes the view of living within ones means and not doing anything compromising for benefits. Bawse who doubles up on the project also collaborates with the beautiful singer I Candy and together gets busy on the club banger “Top A The Line” party track.
As if wearing the producers cap was not enough Esco Da Shocker joint in the fun with his own single entitled “Caa Cross Me.” Freshly delivered Esco confidently rejoices his love for the female anatomy while denouncing any boarder crossing behavior.
As a member of the Subkonshus outfit deejay Darrio maintains the hit bound status of his label boss Konshens on the inspirational song “Wish Dem Cud Be Me” while Alliance Next Generation deejay Iyara breaks down how to hold firm in the face of poverty on the “Nuttin Nah Gwan” track officially titled “Man A Hold It.”
Completing the line up of artists featured on the Riddim is the lone female and Star$truck first lady Shanhill who unleashes her vocal range on a cover of Rihanna’s chart topping single “Stay.” Shanhill who last years singed to Star$truck Records is definitely one to watch for 2014.
Delmar “Della Danger” Drummond the man behind Star$truck Entertainment says “this riddim project is the first in a series of recordings that are slated to be released by the label for 2014,we have alot of hits to come spanning from Dancehall to Reggae and we are also positioned for some crossover collaboration with some majors. The label is blessed with great talented acts and I’ll be going all out to ensure that these stars will leave their listeners and fans wanting to hear more.”
