Sylem unveils official music video for the single “L’étranger” featured on J
Just1 Records is proud to present the “Just1 Riddim” composed by Vadim “Jahwan” Juston. A classic Modern Reggae riddim on a one drop beat. The first single released off this compilation is “L’étranger” performed by Sylem. A lyrically-conscious track, which raises awareness of the listener concerning racism and a sort of mental segregation that is (still) a problem amongst in former colonialist countries. In Sylem‘s music video we can see daily life scenes of people of different origins —Senegalese, Algerian, Portuguese and more— in France. They are all dressed with traditional clothes or with the colors of their countries to emphasize where they come from. In the end of the video, they all gather. It shows that people of different roots and cultures can live together if they accept their differences.Overall, the song is quite good especially when it comes to the lyrical content. Check out the video, share and comment if you like it.
FR: Ils nous appellent l’étranger, […] L’histoire a bien prouvé qu’on ne peut cacher la vérité.EN: They call us foreigners […] History has proven that you cannot hide the truth.— Sylem
