Listen to 1989 Reggae hit song “One Blood” performed by Junior Reid
As the Reggae month just starts, I thought I would share with you some throwback track. So here’s “One Blood” performed by Black Uhuru former lead singer Junior Reid. Released in 1989, this single is probably one of the most notable acts delivered by the Reggae artist.
“One Blood” is an anthem for unity, in which Junior Reid reminds us that no matter where we come from, we are all human beings even though we are all different. Just like the Jamaican motto says: “Out of many, one people”.
By the way, this track was such a hit that is has been sampled in various Rap songs such as “One Blood Under W” by the Wu-Tang Clan and “It’s Okay” by The Game. This song is an example of how Reggae music has influenced other genres of music from then until now. Listen to, download and share if you like it.
