Special #ThrowbackThursday Tribute to Buju Banton & Gregory Isaacs
Gregory Isaacs started his career as a recording artist in the late 60’s. Back then, Buju wasn’t even born yet. It’s only about acouple of decades later, in the late 80’s, that we’ve got to be introduced to Buju.We’re talking abouttwo different artists of two different eras with radically different styles. On one side: Gregory Isaacs aka The Cool Ruler with a soothingly laid-back flow and a voice as smooth as silk. On the other side: Buju banton, a Dancehall deejay with a slightly agressive flow and a very characteristic raspy voice.Some of you might be wondering why I am making one post to pay tribute to two artists who seem have nothing in common but Jamaican roots.
