Reggae Geel 2016 report by Jamworld876
Reggae Geel 2016 only lasted two days, but it was intense. On the first day, most artists pulled off great performances. We have only been disappointed by Jahmiel who had some troubles singing in tune at times. On the other side, Dexta Daps agreeably surprised us. Tanya Stephens sang hits after hits. Her performance was good overall, despite her long speeches in between. Beres Hammond also gave an amazing performance, full of energy.
On the second day, unfortunately we arrived a bit late and missed Aswad. Though, we didn’t miss Wayne Wonder who really blew us off. Pinchers also gave a great performance. Unfortunately, we missed Tarrus Riley while checking out the sound system stage.
On the sound system stage, Sentinel Sound warmed up the crowd with a heavy set of badman tunes. But after announcing that we came here for real Dancehall and no pop music, Jazzy T, who came all the way from Jamaica, played mainstream tropical house by Rihanna, Drake, and Justin Bieber. We were about to left, when he played Barbie Girl, luckily Daniel from Sentinel Sound stopped him in time.
In case you couldn’t attend the festival or in case you were there but missed some shows. You may check out our pictures and videos below. If you were there, do not hesitate to leave a comment below to let us know what was your favorite moment at the festival.
